Terms and conditions of the “ANADASOSI” website use

Please find below the terms and conditions of the “REFORESTATION” website use (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”), which every visitor/user must carefully study and, in case of disagreement, refrain from any use thereof. By using the Website, the visitor/user declares the explicit and unconditional acceptance of the terms of use, which apply to the content of the Website in its entirety.

The present terms of use may be renewed and modified by ELPEDISON in part or in whole, when it is deemed necessary, in order to increase the information available to the visitor/user, always in the context of good faith and fair commercial practices and the visitor/user must check every time for possible amendments, according to these terms. Continued use of the Website by the visitor/user reaffirms the acceptance of the modified terms by him/her, while, in case of non-acceptance, the visitor/user must refrain from any use thereof.

Those who have full capacity to perform legal acts are entitled to use the Website. The use of the Website by minors is allowed only with the express consent of the adults who are their legal guardians. ELPEDISON shall not be liable for any use by users/visitors who do not meet the above capacities.

1. ELPEDISON’S statements

1.1. Without prejudice to any error due to force majeure, including technical problems in the system, ELPEDISON declares that it makes every possible effort to ensure the validity and accuracy of the information included in the Website, in order for the visitors/users to form as complete a picture as possible.

The information and content of the Website may not be always fully updated, they are therefore provided as is, without any guarantee, expressed or deduced, and they do not constitute, in any case, directly or indirectly, encouragement, advice or inducement to perform any action, but the visitor/user is requested to assess individually and act at his/her discretion, with the exclusion of any responsibility on the part of ELPEDISON.

2.1 The visitor/user of the Website is solely responsible for the entry of any third- party personal data on the Website, without relevant authorisation/consent, and for the submission of false, untrue or inaccurate information and data with the purpose of fraud or deception.

For any damage caused to ELPEDISON, by the above illicit or unfair use of the respective services by the visitor/user, the user is solely responsible.

3.1. ELPEDISON is in no case and under circumstances, including negligence, responsible for any legal claims or any direct or indirect damage or costs, that may arise from the operation or non-operation, access, use or browsing through the company’s websites or by the download of material, text, and other data contained therein, including but not limited to possible damages causes by viruses, bugs, by human factor, by any computer system or accessory, hardware, software, programme dysfunction or any other error, omission or delay in the transmission due to the computer or the Internet connection.


3.2. ELPEDISON will do everything necessary for the good operation of the Website, yet without guaranteeing that its operation will be constant, without errors or other types of technical problems. ELPEDISON does not accept any responsibility for possible destructions that may be caused by the access to and use of the Website.


4. Intellectual and industrial property rights

4.1. All details, information and data included ELPEDISON websites, including but not limited to images, photographs, texts, diagrams, provided services and any type of files in general, are intellectual property of the respective legislative provisions of the EU and Greek intellectual property law.


4.2. The names given to the Website, the actions, logos and distinctive features included in it, are either registered marks or particular distinctive features of the Website and the actions planned through it, and are protected by the respective Greek and EU legislative provisions on trademarks, industrial and intellectual property and unfair competition.

4.3. Access to the above details and information via the Website does not, in any case, imply a transfer or assignment of a license or right to use it. Any copy, reproduction, distribution, transfer, downloading or other use of the content of the websites resulting, inter alia, in the misleading of the visitors/users, is explicitly prohibited, unless ELPEDISON explicitly grants a previous written authorisation.

6. Applicable law – Jurisdiction

6.1. The present terms of use are governed by the Greek Law.

6.2. In order to resolve any dispute arising in the context of the application of these terms, the courts of Athens shall be competent.


7. Use of the Website

7.1. Through the Website and within the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, ELPEDISON aims to strengthen the afforestation of the forests of Northern Evia, as each user can “adopt” one or more trees.

7.2. In order for the users to register on the Website, they must create their personal account, in accordance with the instructions of the Website, by filling in the following fields: Name, Surname, Email and Password.

7.3. ELPEDISON reserves its right not to accept the registration of a user on the Website, without justification.

7.4. If the user carries out his/her registration on the Website and has an account on it, he/she must fill in the fields in order to be connected: Email and Password or alternatively he/she must be connected via the account it has in the Facebook application.

7.5. Each user’s Password is strictly a personal item and should not be disclosed to any third party. In case of loss/disclosure of the Password to any third party, ELPEDISON is not liable at all.

8. Other provisions

8.1. ELPEDISON’s omission or delay to exercise its legal or contractual rights, arising from these terms of use, will in no way be construed as waiver of such rights nor be deemed a weakening of its rights.

8.2. The above terms are agreed as essential and are modified solely in writing.

8.3. The invalidity or voidability of a term will in no way affect the validity of the other terms.
